sms (Short Message Service)
Given the limited space available for sms text messages (usually 160 characters) it can be useful to use abbreviations and slang in order to get your message across.
So the next time you're texting on your iPhone or T-Mobile Galaxy S, try using some of the common sms abbreviations listed on the following pages:

- 4yeo - for your eyes only
- 2ht2hndl - too hot to handle (probably quicker to type the full thing :) )
- mte - my thoughts exactly
- n1 - nice one
- omg - Oh My God
- ptmm - please tell me more
- sal - such a laugh
